WORK WITH US

Build the Future of AI

We're looking for curious, driven people who want to do meaningful work.

WHY XEPHYR

Why join us

Fully Remote

Work from anywhere. We are a distributed team with no central office requirement. We use async-first communication and meet in person twice a year.

Learning Budget

£2,500 per year for conferences, courses, books, and certifications. We expect you to keep learning and we fund it.

Health & Wellbeing

Comprehensive private health insurance, dental cover, and access to a mental health support platform. Your wellbeing is not an afterthought.

Equity Participation

EMI share options for all permanent employees. We are building something significant and we want the people who build it to share in the outcome.

Flexible Hours

We care about output, not hours. Work the hours that suit you — as long as you are available for client commitments and team ceremonies.

Team Retreats

Twice-yearly team retreats in locations worth travelling to. A chance to work together in person, think about the long term, and actually enjoy each other's company.

CURRENT OPENINGS

Open roles

Senior Data Engineer

Engineering

full-time

Remote (UK/EU)

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead data infrastructure engagements with our clients. You will design and build lakehouse platforms, streaming pipelines, and data quality frameworks — then hand them over to client teams with the documentation and training they need to maintain them.

  • 5+ years of data engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a consulting or client-facing role
  • Deep expertise in the modern data stack — dbt, Apache Spark or Flink, Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg, cloud data warehouses
  • Experience designing and implementing medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) data platforms

ML Engineer

Engineering

full-time

Remote (UK/EU)

We need an ML Engineer who cares as much about shipping models as training them. You will work across the full ML lifecycle — feature engineering, model development, MLOps pipelines, serving infrastructure, and production monitoring — on client engagements spanning financial services, healthcare, and retail.

  • 4+ years of machine learning engineering experience, with a track record of production deployments
  • Strong Python skills; proficiency with PyTorch or scikit-learn and at least one serving framework (FastAPI, TorchServe, etc.)
  • Experience building ML pipelines with tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar

AI Strategy Consultant

Consulting

full-time

Remote (UK/EU)

We are looking for an AI Strategy Consultant to lead executive-level engagements — running AI readiness assessments, facilitating use case prioritisation workshops, and building the business cases that get AI initiatives funded and delivered. You will be the person clients call when they want to understand what AI can do for their business.

  • 5+ years in management consulting, strategy, or a senior data/AI leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience leading AI strategy engagements or significant internal AI transformation programmes
  • Strong commercial acumen — ability to build credible business cases and communicate ROI to C-suite audiences

Junior Data Analyst

Analytics

full-time

Remote (UK/EU)

We are hiring a Junior Data Analyst to work alongside senior consultants on analytics and data strategy engagements. This is a learning role — you will be exposed to a wide range of client contexts, data problems, and technical approaches, with structured mentorship and a clear progression path.

  • Degree in a quantitative discipline (mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, or similar)
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one of Python or R for data analysis
  • Experience with a BI or visualisation tool (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
